Lychnis coronata 'orange sherbet'
Has anyone here ever heard of this plant? It's a Chinese Lychnis. My elderly aunt who lived in Jackson, Mississippi gave me a start of the plant many years ago. She had no idea what the name was, but claimed that a friend had brought it with her from England. I'd assumed this likely wasn't true, yet I hadn't been able to find anyone at our local nurseries here in Alabama who recognized the plant. I have only just now found an Internet company that has the plants for sale, and that was the first time I've had a name for the plant. I have wanted more information. Especially I am interested to learn if it is normal for the blooms to get bleached out looking areas as they age. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
