Kunzea calida

Is anyone growing this? I've heard it's possibly extinct in the wild now.

I've never heard of it and the only kunzea under 'c' listed in my references is k. capitata and that doesn't appear to be a threateded one. Capitata is a NSW variety. I'd be interested to know if anybody else knows of it.

    Thanks, Guys.
It is being grown here in Toowoomba (including by the Toowoomba resident/author of the article you referred us to, justcorreas.) I was curious to know whether it was known of, elsewhere. It's obviously very rare and, I think, has just missed out on extinction by a squeak. Thank goodness for gardeners who grow rare things.

    Hi Trish,

It would be good to see photos of the Kunzea calida flowers. Norm must have some photos of them by now? The article is dated 2004.

    Cheers,
    Frank
