definitely a plant to keep... the variegation looks quite uniform too.. BTW ...there is gorgeous white leaf in your photo album ..looked like a Caladium.. which variety is it?? Izhar

I have one and know a number of people who have them. I'm a member of the International Cordyline Society and we have them for sale from time to time. If you go to www.cordyline.org there is a forum there and you could ask who has one available at the moment. It is a rare collector plant, but this would definatly be the place to locate one.

Welcome back!! The quotes were very enjoyable. Sorry for your experience, but glad you are ready to "get back out there"! Nature and life march on. You have lots of empty space to fill (and nature abhors a vacuum). You don't have to fill it all at once, but do as little or as much as you feel like........on whatever budget you want and can afford. Show photos of what survived and is thriving. Gardening is good for the soul, although you get the occasional curveball thrown at you. My Hostas were thriving and I had some big beautiful clumps of 'June', 'Great Expectations' etc. along with some rare streakers I was propagating and multiplying. One winter, a combination of voles and just odd weather caused many of them to "Dissapear" over winter (and this included some BIG well established clumps). Actually I am not totally sure what happened...............it has been a few years and things are recovering nicely. Around the same time I had a couple years of SEVERE drought.....one summer seemed like EVERY storm went north or south of me. Even some big old trees in the neighborhood succummed to drought. I do have problems with a heavy soil and tree roots that is somewhat a battle. However we had fairly regular rain the last two-three years and things are doing really well again.

I talk t and fuss at them when appropriate even though they are feral so when Horton was fighting Twinkle, I stood over him and demanded he stop nad he didd.stop. Twinkle has been back eating since then, He is a chicken thief...I give them boiled hxixken as a treat and he will snatch from the others as he is very quick. I am enjoying EITPF, but I think t is one you either really enjoy or dislike. But then, we don't all have to like the same ones. Heather, I potted Yankee Pinstripes and actually put in on the south facing windowsill in my bedroom because it was tiny and it did not like out hot dry weather. ut it in the greenhouse for winter and planted it this spring and it seems to really be doing well. I look forward to seeing your blooms Heather. Sherry, laura is just a really good plant here and I always enjoy seeing others shots of it. Nancy, I got it EITPF from the hybridizer but doubt it makes a lot of difference. I did have one almost totally yellow bloom and a couple like Kate's, almost totally red with just a few yellow splashes. I like the names too, Nancy. I am with you on liking some names. And there are a few I would not get becasue of the name too.I think Stenciled infusion is a favorite of everyone and Holiday Ribbons seems to be pretty popular. I had no idea what it looked like when I ordered it and have been very pleased with it. I agree with everyone that Boss Hogg is odd for a pretty bloom. kay
