I live in the Souther Tablelands of NSW - very cold winter, very hot summer.

A friend, mindful of my whinging about the cost of kaffir lime leaves, but not mindful enough to realise I was taking about LEAVES, brought me back a bag of kaffir limes from up north during the winter. My gosh - are they bitter!

But they had seeds, some of which I put in a pot, tied the whole thing up in a plastic bag and put it against a north facing brick wall.

I now have five little kaffir lime trees, around 2 cm high. With the warmer weather, I've taken the pot out of the bag and moved it into a spot which gets morning sun. The pot is now covered with a cut down plastic bottle 'hot house'. I take the bottle off a couple of times a day for a few minutes at a time to give them fresh air.

Would appreciate any tips or advice on raising my babies.
