verticordia michelliana

I have been fortunate enough to source 2 very small verticordia michelliana plants and I am guarding them with my life. When I bought them in the autumn of 2007, they were both in flower. The flowers were an exquisitely beautiful red colour and a they had a feathery form. They are about to flower again. I want to know what conditions they like. They appear to enjoy my back garden which has sandy, well drained soil and it gets the hot westerly sun. I would hate to lose these plants because they were so hard to find in the first place.

It sounds to me that you have great conditions for the plants! A propagator who lives in the Adelaide Hills has these same conditions. He waters with drippers for the first couple of years.
