You know, I always transplant one wild tomato in a sunny spot where I have amended the soil into gardener's gold. I always read that wild tomatoes are risky. "You don't know what you'll get or might not taste good" is what I always read. What a load of bunk. Those wild tomato plants grow great and the fruit tastes as good as any of the plants I start from seed. Been this way for over 20 years. I'm still waiting for that "lousy" wild tomato plant to emerge! Yet, like an idiot, I still grow most of my tomatoes from seed! I guess I just like growing plants from seed. LOL!!

And she makes an appearance for the first time this year! I planted five jugs today, for a grand total of--FIVE. lol! Last year I had over a hundred by now, this year I'm only doing my daylily seeds and just a few others I didn't get to last year. So, I have five for zone 6. karen

Mine have started spawning today, but it is a much depleted frog family. Last year I had 51 frogs back for mating. This year so far I have only 20 at the most. I keep hoping that they are still coming but they have not materialized so far. I also got 21 areas of spawn whereas I guess I might only have a dozen at the most. So far I have 3 with some of them with white dots instead of the black living spawn. I wonder if the white ones mean they are not fertilized. Here is a link that might be useful: Alisons website
