I don't know what the sprouts are except to say they are not any of the seeds you mentioned. Cats are a menace to seedbeds and you need to keep them off newly cultivated areas. You can use twiggy prunings or chicken wire. Don't wait for damage - protect the earth as soon as you have sown.

The pic is a local "germination mix" + riversand - usually 50/50. I just read about how you lost your plants, so sad, best of luck and hope your new plants grow double x better and make you 5x happier!! Which for a plantlover is pretty happy!LOL I lost many plants because we moved alot for a while, movers do not always care about plants, it made me sad but I just came back 2x stronger and with 2x the plants!LOL!

I have Ada E Hill. I planted it early in the spring and it's got buds now but hasn't bloomed yet. I will get a picture of it when it does bloom and you can compare it to yours and see what you think. Jason

I would say it appears to be good match. Very different from the Carlina aucalis I have grown. I have been enjoying your posts .
