Pelargonium helmsii

I have been trying without luck to obtain seed of this rare Australian Pelargonium for years. Well-intentioned individuals have sent me seed labelled P. helmsii, but it always turns out to be P. australe, P. inodorum, P. renifolium, etc. or even some Pelargonium not even native to Australia. P. helmsii is a high altitude perennial that grows in sub-alpine woodland (Eucalyptus niphophila woodland) only on the Kosciusko Plateau. It's been found around the ski resorts, etc. near Charlotte's Pass and Guthega. If anyone knows of a source for seed, please let me know.

You know, Chagrin, you can wait weeks/months for anyone to respond on this page, it literally goes for ages without any new messages. I have one native pelagonium - not what you're looking for - P. 'Mallee Magic' (light pink), which after a few years, is failing. Your's is much rarer and certainly (I reckon) won't be available from anyone other than a real P. specialist. Might I suggest you look to see if there's a botanical gardens at Cooma or in some other alpine region. No way you'll get it any where else, but good luck.
