need help to i.d. native?Daisy

Sorry,don't as yet have pic.I believe this to be an annual,growing in light soil in south west QLD,in flower now,flower colour>bright yellow(not an everlasting)in clusters,each flower approx25mm dia on a plant approx30cm with foliage similar in appearance to a marguerite daisy,flowers were covered in butterflies,moths etc...flowers have a pungent smell when crushed.(isn't fireweed) could this be a variety of senicio?I have been told it also comes in white.The whole plant is very pleasing to the eye.Hoping this doesn't turn out to be a weed! Thanking all for your help.
