Hi Sharon, didn't see many seeds for sale other than tourist type pkts of palms/cycad/strelitzia in the beach shops along the Paseo, and as I have several already I didn't purchase. No doubt there would have been more choice had we found the true gardening shops. The only 'plant' I bought back were the 4 little snapped off pieces from underneath the Crassula I posted about a few days ago, it was such a lovely colour. Think they had been there for some time as they were rather dry and the ends were quite calloused over. Maybe knocked off by a clumsy dog trying to balance on 3 legs? lol!! Sorry to read your babies are suffering, damping off is normally due to a combination of wet and warm....just the conditions the babies need to sprout and grow for a few weeks after germinating. Try to keep them on the drier side now theyre a little older as they can cope with cooler conditions if grown dry as opposed to cold and wet. You have email btw, Gill.

I'm fairly confident about these (seems almost textbook; right at the base of an oak in November) but with wild mushrooms you can't be too careful, right? I'm not kicking it; just put my (size 9.5/10) foot in there to show scale. If the photo composition isn't the best, please keep in mind it was shot in total darkness! It may be asking too much but I'm hoping for confirmation before breakfast.

Hi Gals, sorry for not coming back in again on this one, but not been on the comp for few days. Ok here goes.....Yes Celadine is well and truly rooted, it was one of the cuttings my aunt sent me from Australia. I planted it in spring of 2005, it did nothing above soil level that year (so guess it was busy rooting) till spring of 2006 when it leafed out big time and flowered that summer. In the 2007 season it leafed very poorly and didn't flower. This year I still have no leaves as all the baby ones (the claws) have dried and dropped off. There is no way I could grow plumies without the help of the greenhouse even during the summer as our climate is way too un-reliable here in the UK but I'm certain it hasn't been cold that's made the tips blacken and fall as the 4 seedlings are growing their leaves well and they're all in the g/h together. Interesting kitchen layout and decor! Some initial questions.... It looks like you may have children (refrigerator decor)...how many totally in your family? Infants/Toddlers/young children/tweens/teens? Spouse? Anyone else? How many people will be working in the kitchen at one time (prepping, cooking/baking, cleaning up, other)? Either now or in the future (as children grow up!) Appliances? Types, sizes? (Other than what we see...like MW?) What size is the refrigerator? Is it an existing one? Or, are you getting a new one? If new, would you like counter-depth, built-in, or full depth? What are the dimensions of each wall segment & window and the distances b/w the walls and the windows & doorways? Other than the piano wall and the stairs, is everything else fair game? :-) What's the minimum length of wall you need for the piano? Can the window be moved/changed? Do you also want the serving counter to have seating? Do you have a pantry elsewhere? Now, a couple of comments on the latest layout... Pantry...it's a long walk around either the peninsula or the refrigerator & piano to get to that pantry. Personally, I would be really unhappy the second or third time I had to go back for something I forgot or just realized I needed! Shortened Wall next to the range...how short is it? Your range is next to that wall (yes, there's 18" b/w it and the wall, but that's not much space). Will it be short enough for someone to accidentally touch something hot on the counter when running down the stairs...or just playing there? Sorry for all the questions, but it really helps if we know these things!
