Jim -- When I was handing the box over to the postal worker it suddenly occurred to me -- what if he has peanut allergies? That shoots half the box! I'm so glad you like the items! I tried to think of some food for Cleveland -- which is a truely great city for food -- but I couldn't think of anything that would ship well. (Serbian sausage anyone?) Cincinnati chili was originally created by Macedonian immigrants, so the spices are very different from Texas chili and include cinnamon, chocolate or cocoa, allspice, and Worcestershire. It's also a lot thinner, because it's not served in a bowl by itself, but over spaghetti. Folks order by the number: two-way (the bare minimum) is chili and spaghetti; three-way is topped with fluffy mounds of finely shredded cheddar (think microplane fine); four-way slips chopped onions in under the cheese; five-way slips cooked kidney beans in with the onions. (I'm a 5-way girl, myself!) Enjoy the butters and jam -- so glad I could send a little of the buckeye state your way!

Oh no, I was sure they were from you ... now I'll never trace the source of that brug! (I never did get double-whites from the batch of seeds that accompanied the cuttings, although I now have knightii from my mother's garden, the local double white ... local in the sense that knightii has been in Australia since the 1850s, and is apparently the precursor to all modern doubles.) Send me an email thru GW if you have any requests as I'm sure we've swapped *something* in the past--actually, we must have as that's the only reason I could remember your street name :-)

Sorry Kazzie, I have just been so busy that I forgot to reply, but I did go to look at the bird forum yesterday and have just now gone as you requested to read dampflippers wren tale. How exciting. We were going to put up cameras near our nesting boxes but thought it might be too late this time and didn't want to scare any birds away. Jo the camera is a digi slr. It's a cannon 10D. We also have 3 digi camcorders. All cannon. He has just got the XL2 and we already had the XL1 and a smaller one which I have started using. I also have a small digi camera. Oh isn't that a surprize it'a also a cannon. I didn't realize that all our stuff was cannon. Mines a small one. A cannon powershot A80. I like it as it is easy enough to use and I can do decent photo's of the children with it. Thanks for all the comments about the photo's. I love my frogs of course, but I really liked the wild duck flying. We have a lovely pic of 6 Gannets flying in formation at Bempton cliffs. Alison

My brother was 4 years younger, I wanted to sell him because I would have liked a sister. He was about 16 when we found some common ground, until then he was the pest who always hung around when I wanted to do things on my own. The trouble was it was not only him, but he was of the opinion that I should be pleased that he brought his friends along.
