Brugmansia - Angel's trumpet

My beautiful Brugmansia leaves are turning mottled then yellowing then falling off. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem?

I'm no expert but the same thing happened to my Brugmansia. I read somewhere that they are gross feeders like roses. I applied a handful of dynamic lifter and the plant improved. I have been having a little battle with my plant being in Melbourne. They seem to need quite a bit of water too. Mine flowered last year for the first time, I was wrapped! Good Luck.

Until today I had never seen the Hummingbird / Sphinx moth on flowers. At a neighbor's Lantana, I saw what appeared to be more than one variety of these moths. Do they cause any problems that interfere with raising butterflies? Some people seem to have hearty Lantanas and others have trouble getting them to come up year after year. Sylvia

fawnridge, I did have one branch that tried to do that this year. I was shocked, since I had never had one do it before. I tied the branch up to the main trunk so it could get stronger and not flop like that. Someone told me that those floppy shoots are a sign of too much water and too much fertilizer, so I cut back somewhat, and have had no floppy shoots since.

There are definitely seed pods on my brugmansia (angel trumpet)

The pods are still growing. They're about 3 inches long now, and the outside sheath hasn't fallen off yet. I'm leaving it, hoping it protects them from the cold. One is almost poking out of the bottom of the sheath.
