Misting each of my passionflowers a couple times a day just isn't something I have the time or inclination to do. hmmm...sorry to hear that the Bayer might kill my plants, I will certainly have to reconsider that option. I've heard good things about Neem, but I haven't noticed it locally. I'll check Lowes next time I'm there. My problem disappears quickly once the plants are back outside as well. I got pretty desperate and caught a few spiders and introduced them to the room with the mites. I noticed webs (bigger than mites webs) but the spiders didn't seem to escape the notice of my cats. My Vitifolia was badly hit a couple years back by the mites, this year it hasn't been hit as badly. I did treat it with insecticidal soap before I brought it in and I dusted it with diatomacious earth (which made a mess, and there is still some on older leaves). Whether this helped or not, I don't know. I will be giving the Incense this treatment next year as well, though. I got seeds out of a fruit of Incense (pollenated by Incarnata, by hand). Of a dozen seeds, seven seemed fully formed and did not float. I'm hoping to plant them next week. (off topic I know...but who cares) ~Chills

No, I don't have any experience with azadirachtin. I don't have any experience with any systemics. Rose growers do though. I don't grow any roses because I have both deer and elk in my garden at times. Bugs like them too much and they have thorns! I have grown Italian cypress, both the species and the variety 'Aurea'. Never bothered with mites though. Way too wet here.
