This plant must be one of the most named plants in the world! It seems like it is all of the above, except maybe the cuphea, it has lots of alternative names, very confusing. All these look like it .. Sinningia incarnata, Moussonia deppeana, Seemannia nematanthodes "Evita, Kohlaria .. It's very tough, it was formerly growing in a thick mat, then got buried in mulch and disappeared and has just popped up again. Maybe I'll just call it Gesneriad and not bother about the specific name thank you

Looks like tall fescue. Photo 1 and 4 show auricles that tall fescue has. I believe I can also see the ridges in the lead blade in photo 4. Photo 5 shows that is has a bunch-style growth. If the blades come out rolled (not folded or flat), I think we have a winner. Fescue should have deeper roots that thst, though. Either you didn't pull the roots out completely (my guess), or you have extremely shallow roots from your watering practices.

I had it as an edging around a bed lined with stones. Some stems would turn inward and infiltrate the lower growing plants closest to them. Probably decided to remove them because, with the whole bed surrounded, it was too much to deal with. I have some now that are planted in a shady area around a Cottonwood, along with Hostas. In that spot they seem well behaved. Location, location, location .
