Me first thought before I red Dan's comment was: "He must be friends or visit Jerry Morris once and a while..." I visited Jerry also during our Duch Conifer Society in the U.S. in 2005. It was very special to meet him and to saw his very impressive collection of witches'brooms and witches'brooms seedlings he selected.

I planted the last of my tomatoes in ground today. For all my complaining that I had no place for them I actually have the same amount in ground that I had last year 24. Then I have 4 in pots which I did before I figgured out were I could get the tomatoes planted in ground. So actually I have more tomato plants than I had last year. I planted nine tomatoes up in that liitle high alleyway behind the backyard daylily plateu. I am not pleased with that project as it was difficult to get done and its going to be very hard to actually get to them to pick fruit during the summer. But its not a bad place for them to actually be. So this summer when I take pictures of daylilies in bloom up on the plateau, the pictures will have tomato plants in the backround LOL! I was planning to plant mexican sunflowers up there as I thought that would be a great looking backround for the daylilies. But it will have to be next year. I will plant some Mexican sunflowers elsewhere this year.

Had a Scotsman icemaker in my old house and loved it. Then when we moved here, 15 or so years ago, it had a Whirlpool icemaker. I liked it even better because of the small ice cubes - but did not like how noisy it was. My new icemaker (not hooked up yet) is a KitchenAide. I picked it because it makes the smaller cubes I love and I was told (by a relative) it is less noisy than the old Whirlpool. I'm keeping my fingers crossed cause I really love those small cubes! Cool! That's the type of flower garden I need. Just been breaking my back working in compost into all the raised beds! Clare
