Is the perennial sweet peas different from regular fragrant sweet peas? Sweet peas only grow for a short time(spring) in my area due to hot weather. I do have an heirloom sweet pea that pretty much grows all year long but no fragrance. According to my research, it was planted in Thomas Jefferson's garden. It's pink color and looks like a mini orchid. I like to try other sweet peas variety especially the ruffled fragrant kind or Cupani's Original. If anyone wants to trade, email me directly.

Vina.. few things on your list interest me. (perennial Sweet peas, Clematis: Arctic Queen and few others) don't have the time to go through the list right now. I don't know if they will root; my guess is they would. Though, I simply let my perennial sweet pea go to seed, and I get LOTS of volunteer seedlings. Cheers

Hi Cat & Kev, If you happen to come back and see this here---if your flowering cabbage is kale, it can definitely take the cold. There shouldn't even be a problem to move them from whatever warm place they've been in to the cooler place immediately, but if you're worried about doing that, take several days to gradually move them to cooler and cooler places until they get to the 50-40 place. Or leave them in the cold place until you go to bed and then bring them into a fairly cool place overnight for several days, and then just start leaving them out all night. Kale can easily take temps down to freezing once it's hardened off. And, again, it'll help slow down the growth so they still look good when you put them out. I haven't checked if they're out yet lately, but down here in Denver kale is one of the first things available for sale in spring--along with the pansies, and one of the last things available in fall--also along with the pansies. Do you know there are several forums on GW for Canadian and far northern gardeners? I've linked them below. They might help with some of the "coldest" gardening questions, but we get into a lot of that here on RMG too, so we'd love to see more of you around here, too, when you have questions.
