They are both normal leaves. The little burn-wirery thing you see at the end is normal. I get that on each of my new banana leaves. I do not see a flag yet, but as long as you have leaves coming out, it means the plant is happy and a flag is soon to follow.

Thanks for the good info for our area. I have found Dwarf Nam Wah to be a consistent producer of good quality fruit. And one more Hoa mua not a dwarf but grows fast and not a real thick trunk. I would be interested in trading pups of your Goldfinger and Ladyfinger if you are in the Orlando area.
