This is huge tree. Very tall and wide, And the fruit it looks like a red pear . There delicious . In some places they call this fruit water apple. But it does not taste like apple or pear. This is one of my favorite fruit when I was a kid. And they use the flower for perfume too.

I have for trade the seeds of the coveted Star Apple (Caimito). I am willing to trade for any fruit that grows in South Florida (Zone 10B). Description: Take a creamy Greek Yogurt, and mix it with honey. Dump in a generous amount of custard and a genuine vanilla bean. Mix in some fruit puree. Chill it. You will get a pure ambrosia that is amazing. That is how the above fruit tastes like. It is called a Caimito or Star Apple. They are only available in the tropics. Very interesting...thank you for posting this Konrad. I can only suspect that this apple is one of the "form over function" fruits and probably has undesirable characteristics. It is however so unusual that it draws me in. One of the photos shows a gob of apples on a stem with no leaves in the frame. Another site gives a ladies description as an apple with no leaves? How is this possible? Another photo shows a very nice specimen with nice shape and very healthy leaves? What gives? It'd be awesome if someone could cross it with Honeycrisp and get that flavor with this shape it would be a freaking smashing hit in the supermarkets.

These are seedlings so they aren't very big yet. I also three passionfruit seedlings...flower color unknown. I *think* this is the ones you eat. I'm looking for interesting tropicals, bulbs, or veggies.
