Anigozanthos manglesii (?) at Trader Joe's in CA

I just picked up a stunning Anigozanthos, which from a quick search appears to be Anigozanthos manglesii. I got it at a Trader Joe's supermarket in Cupertino, CA (Homestead near Foothill) for $10.

Can someone confirm the ID of A. manglesii and tell me about the plant?

The green part of the flowers reminds me somewhat of a Anigozanthos viridis 'Phar Lap' that I picked up at Yamagami's nursery, also in Cupertino, last Spring. Are they thought to be closely related? Here's a photo of that plant on the San Marcos Growers site:

    Your plant is a good selection of Anigozanthos manglesii.

    It is known to hybridize freely with Anigozanthos viridis in the wild. That shows some relative affinities.

    There are at least a couple of hybrids available in the trade.

    I have one of those Anigozanthos manglesii hybrids
    Typical of the species being a shorter-lived variety best suited to patio pots!

    It lasted around five months in the pot here.
