Ken - looking for the cottage garden look. But my concern was more about was I going to be sorry for letting it get out of control, i.e., from what you can see by my pics, was that overkill as far as crowding out my other plants. So, Daylily, I guess I'm more like you...liking it to fill in empty spots. I, too, have some tall 'weeds' with little white thingys on top (like miniture wheat) here and there that will be hard to get down to root, so will follow your lead and just pull up chunks along with the weeds. Like you said, Ken, not like I don't have more....LOL Answers were perfect timing since I wanted to tackle this issue today so thanks to both !! Bonnie

Hi everyone- I am searching for the yellow stemless evening primrose (oenothera triloba) It is a little ground hugging plant that looks like a dandylion. Its yellow flowers shake & open right before your eyes at dusk, & blooms at night- my mom gave me this before she passed away- then, unfortunately, we moved South in the middle of winter, & I had to leave it behind...If anyone has it to trade, or knows where I could purchase it, I'd be so grateful. Annie, thank you! I just got a great deal at Lowes yesterday on violas and pansies for our church beds. I should have picked up some for me too! On the winter view, my neighbors would never say anything and probably wouldn't care. I just know all those beds can look a little bit like an eyesore in the winter. As it is, my beds catch every piece of trash that blows through the neighborhood. I do put a bird feeder in the front in the winter. I figure that will make it a little more interesting. Lisa
