i have a few drumstick seeds available . did you see the programme on abc and the feature in the mag this month on this tree, inc recipes. As you can eat all parts of the tree.

i brought two trees off a charming ,quite elderly man in Perth which were over a metre high and cost just $10.00 each. if anyone in perth wants his phone number let me know, but it would be collection from him only.

i have limited seed for a sae and maybe more in a few weeks when some pods i have dry and split. happy gardening

I am really interested in giving some seeds a try-I saw the Gardening Australia programme that featured them.
They sound amazing and we said when we saw the prog that we would love to find one.
Thanks for the offer-please email me if you still have some available.

It's actually Moringa oleifera (e before i). You might have better luck searching for it with that spelling. J. L. Hudson Seedman (excellent Garden Watchdog rating) currently offers these seeds for sale. Hendry Creek Hideaway and Moringa Source (warning, no clue about the reputability of these companies) also offer these seeds for sale. Arid Lands Greenhouses (excellent Garden Watchdog rating) currently has the plants (not seeds) for sale.

I have 9 of these trees thisisme. I started them from seed in January, and have already pruned them back once. I planted them in 2L plastic bottles because I like to be able to see the root development. (of course you have to be careful not to expose the bottles to direct sun because that would heat up the root area too much. I can't wait to plant them in the ground soon. I'm thinking of planting them close together to get some privacy from neighbors. Too bad they grow so whispy.

By drumsticks, you mean isopogons?

Nope-he means what it says in the heading-Drumstick/Moringa.
Not an Australian native as the Isopogon family are-but an almost fully edible tree from India.
I suggest for any one who wants to know more that they do a google search-either for "drumstick tree" or Moringa.
Altogether a very interesting tree to research.
