Yarrow a wildflower is drought tolerant, but in the hot summers which reach in the high 90's here do you water more than once a week with this plant.? Thanks

Yes. We had water restrictions so it got done twice a week with the sprinklers, but it could need a bit more when really hot as mine tended to get extra when I turned on the hose. A bit of shade from other plants might help too, and the obligatory mulch. We have hot, dry summers here in Perth and mine have been in for four summers and keep on multiplying. good luck.

Oo, Annabel, can you tell me more about yarrow from your experience? I'm also in Perth, but my yarrow is in a pot, and I've had it for about a week. It was from the herb section in Bunnings and was the last one left.

Easier to remove old foliage before it sprouts. You may be able to just gently pull it off rather than cutting.

Thanks @floral_uk z.8/9 SW UK. I did deadhead to a lower node thinking I can always cut lower...And I think that is working as I see buds emerging from nodes lower down the stalk. I just ran out to check.

Depends on your soil, in Perth they have sandy soil so would need to water more often. I only water my drought tolerant plants once a week when it's hot - I just water for a bit longer then. In cool weather they can go for a lot longer without watering.
