But with the few hundred seeds i have, i can get a few hundred plants,fast, and cover my fence in Golden Chalice vines,....I can only take so many cuttings from my one plant. So...with seeds, I can plant them along the fence and get coverage fast,blooms in a year or two.

Oxmyx I have 2 that I received earlier this season. They are growing well but certainly not that fast and I haven't had any flowers yet. They are substantial vines with thick woody trunks. I'm planning on putting mine under HID lights over the winter. I never thought about the possibility of allowing them to go dormant. It would certainly save room if they were dormant. Karyn

Hi Matt! Last night while reading before bed I came across solandra in The Evening Garden: Flowers and Fragrance from Dusk till Dawn by Peter Loewer. I remember he mentioned that S. longiflora is the most intensely scented species and that S. maxima's scent smelled of cheap toilet soap up close but was more agreeable farther away. It's a great book if you haven't read it. Worth getting just for the illustrations alone. :) -Robert
