Basically cinerarias like light shade (full sun makes them collapse), good compost, no frost. Snails love them so be aware! You can put a bit of slow release fertiliser around them or feed them with a liquid fertiliser now and then. I don't always bother if the soil is good. They will bloom in late winter/early spring.

When they finish flowering and the leaves start to look a bit tatty, you can cut them back quite low. You will often see some new shoots near the base and that is a good time to cut them back. They are usually grown as an annual but are actually a perennial. So, with a bit of luck, you will get more than one year out of at least some of them.

Does anyone know re diseases of cineraria please? Am about to plant the seedlings, but the nearby snapdragons have a botrytis problem.
