C. linearis would be nice to get, especially since it is the type of the genus. Maybe you could send it to me this spring. I've got leaf material of the others. When my study is done I will almost certainly have to break up the genus. I'll let you know when I do that however. I certainly couldn't forget Paracautleya, I've collected it in the wild! Weird little thing, it grows in the cracks of rocks. Kress has it. I'm surprised you do though, I didn't think anyone else had gotten ahold of any. What I REALLY want is Cyphostigma (from Sri Lanka). I think it will be very interesting in evolutionary terms within the gingers, but no one has it in cultivation as far as I know. I'll be off the list for a couple months as I'm off to collect in Thailand. In terms of gingers I'm going to search an area that is rumored to have Siamanthus growing wild. It should be the right time of year for flowers, so who knows, I might get lucky! -Kyle
