O Marion I want that little one, it is so cute. Do little ones spit too.
Seen the auction on the news last night they said $400-$1000 they went for.
Yes they do have such soupy eyes, and will probably get sent to Iran or Iraq.
Some desert anyway I do hope they have a good life where ever they go.
That Illawarra Flame tree looks good, and will be magnificent in years to come.

MM, Oh how I wish I could have bought one, they all had the lovely down on them that is great to spin and weave, I did some once a fair time ago now and it knitted up into a lovely soft jacket.
I just couldn't talk my DH into becoming a Camel Plucker, if that is what you call picking the down off them !!!!!
Most of the ones sold are going to properties to be used as woody weed eaters, aparently they do a wonderful job on some of the prickly acasias and others.
I think they are talking of sending meat to the Middle East.

Hi Marion, great pictures of the camels. I love animals from the camelid family as I own alpacas who also have the most beautiful eyes. Have you ever spun alpaca fibre? I haven't learnt yet but I will one day.
I love the IFT, they are one of my favourite trees.

Jules, I have spun Alpaca fleece, and dog and cat hair, I just love spinning strange things.
It is a wonderfully relaxing thing to do,
Sadly it is so hot here that I don't get any use for the atricles I make these days.
Give it a go.
