The numbers are growing!The sunflowers dont use much water, so we'll have something to look at over the browning lawn,although the rain over xmas has brought out a tinge of green.

    Very cheerful, do the birds come in afterwards for the seed?

    Yes they really attract the birds and bees.Apart from the row of mixed sunflowers across the front of the house,we have many coming up among the silverbeet and tomatoes. They must have been dropped by birds.I have just got some sugar cane mulch. are there any cons on using it on the vegies?
