Venerable Turf Tamers

I have found large numbers of these seedlings. The picture, although of exceedingly poor quality, shows one. Its about six inches tall and reminds me of Ceaonothus type vegetation. Can anyone in the internet assist with some sort of identification please.

It is a Billbergia, probably B. x'Wendtii'.

Thank you gardengal48 and mnwsgal. The above pic was taken on June 12 last year, and the plant is in nearly full bloom now. Would that make it unlikely to be 'purple pleno' ? However, the pictures that I was able to find of 'purple pleno' seem just like it.

Thanks for that Tony. Uncle Remiggio says he hasn't forgotten the order you sent him, but he hasn't been the same since the last Yowie incident and hopes you understand.
