Kaffir Lime
Comments (3)VERY nice! It looks really happy. I'm growing this one too and love it. Happily mine didn't get any damage from the winter, so it's made a ton of new growth this spring/summer. I love using those amazing, fragrant leaves in all sorts of Thai, Vietnamese and other cooking (hence the other common name, the one I use, "Thai lime"). So yummy! Mine makes a couple of those fun, small round wrinkled limes, but not a ton, but like you said, we're growing this one for the leaves!...See MoreKaffir Lime fruit? Have you ever?

Comments (6)You must be in the warming zone. Next time you have a lot of fruits, send them to me I will pay for your fruits. If you have Asian grocery store nearby, you can sell them there. The Asian will love you because they are hard to find. You may want to do with your fruits as follows. 1. Peel the skin(green or yellow) off and use the skins to make Thai curry paste. If you have a lot, put them in the freezer for later use. 2. The inside with white skin, open them up and take seeds out. You can use the whole fruit to make Thai Te-Po curry dish. It is the most delicious curry. You need pork or fish to cook with Thai water crest. You also put Kaffir leaves in the curry....See MoreGermination Advise: Kaffir Lime seeds from thailand
Comments (6)I will keep my fingers crossed to see if at least one germinates. I killed my last batch that I took out directly from the keffir limes. however the limes were deep dark green, therefore maybe there were not mature. To raise the germination chances, John will try. I am sure that if he is succesful with at least one, he will be able to reproduce them soon....See More- 20 years ago
