Hi Deva: I'm sorry I haven't respond to this post ... I thought it's advertisement for flowers. Own-root roses are great gifts for Mother's Day, they last longer in the ground and more disease-resistant than the cheap bare-roots at store, which are grafted on Dr. Huey. Grafted roses decline and have more diseases. Roses Unlimited have a sale 1st week or 2nd week of June, half-price. Last year they sold roses for $8 per gallon own-root. In church on Sunday, they had on the screen something like, "It may take a long time ... but sooner or later, you'll quote your mother". Mom was out of my life from when I was just under 6 ... psych hosp, six months after birth of last child, probably post-partum depression. Said to be schizo. Died in 1942, when I was 13. She was reportedly a fine lady ... I wish that I could remember more about her. After step-mother's death, Dad talked quite a lot about Mom to brother's son. As a number of you know ... I find that I quote my Dad rather frequently. ole joyful

Beautiful flowers.

Last night I looked at over 200 photos from your beautiful country as my in-laws have just gotten back from a couple of weeks over there. They visited the North Island a few years ago, so just saw the South Island this time. My FIL just bought a digital camera so he went a bit overboard with the photos. The wild flowers, lupins I think, looked stunning, just a mass of flowers, and the foliage colours of the trees was amazing. You are so lucky to have a beautiful country.
