My son was told at school that there is no such thing as a blue flower. I don't think I'll believe him somehow, I could name several.

There is no such thing as a blue rose, even if they have got blue in their name.
I have so called blue roses and they look more lilac and mauve than blue.
Yours is very pretty whatever it is, and comes up very well presented in that frame.

our blue rose (blue moon) is bluer in the evening - especially after a BBQ and a couple of lambruscos ;-)
