I have a very similar table my grandma said her uncle/godfather John Geimer made it for her as a wedding present. The top, mechanism/sliders & lock looks the same but our pedestal is round not diamond shaped and has a more ornate turning to it our legs are also fancier & have caster. we only have a tyden lock tag on our lock not a big Hastings label like yours. Ours has five original leaves that look like yours but have metal peggy things to fit the leaves together were your's look like wooden pegs & ours are in better shape finish wise. we even still have a chair like yours but no tags on it & ours has had that leathery wood/cardboardy seat replaced years ago. Grandma had 12 chairs to start with as the table seats 12 with all 5 leaves but no matter how hard grandpa & dad tried the others died years ago but I remember the original seats from when I was really little & dad redid some with pad covered plywood because someone tried to stand on 1 & their foot went through that leathery composite stuff. I think my cousin might still have 6 of them in ok shape. We live in Rochester, NY (upstate)along lake Ontario. John Geimer was a local politician, furnature maker, & dog breeder. 'i was thinking 1.5 - 2 years' a lot depends on how dry it was when you got it. If partially dry, it might not take as long. If your piled wood gets plenty of air or if it's stored in a nice dry place, it will dry better. If wood is not dry enough, you'll get more soot & creosote in the chimney. not as big of a deal if you keep and eye on things and maybe do a cleaning of the pipes & such during the winter. You do not want a chimney fire! That's when the built up creosote in the chimney gets hot and a spark causes it to start burning. bad, bad! My insurance insisted on a fire extinguisher nearby. But just keep an eye on things. I used to use a small mirror, you could look up through the clean out door on the chimney and see all the way up the flue. If it got too bad, I'd go up on the roof and drop a chimney cleaner down the flue, then clean the crud out of the bottom through the clean out door. I found out, if your wood is dry, you won't get enough build up to worry about.

I think Denise is correct. It looks like the second instar stage of a species called woolly white fly. A different species of the white fly family than the common white fly normally seen. . As few as you have on your tree, you can easily crush them. Take care of the situation quickly, when white fly gets establish they are very difficult to eradicate.

I would like to sell it but not sure of pricing because of above (And my parent who’d have remembered died.)The paper I have is not a receipt, but a packing slip and, oddly, there’s no date i did call the interior designer who they worked with, but she didn’t remember the table and not sure she’ll be able to find paperwork. i also have a packing slip from a coffee table they bought from Knoll that I know is a Ward Bennett, but the slip doesn’t have the detail.
