Beautiful Hibiscus

I was just about to prune this hibiscus and along came the rain and even though we only had about an inch and a half of rain the flowers are4 springing up all over, will have to wait with the pruners now.

Absolutely Beautiful Marion another one of my favourite flowers.

The first one appears to be a tropical Hibiscus which usually is kept inside except of course you being in Texas where it's warm it probably can survive outside. The second looks like it may be a hardy hibiscus, which can be planted in a sunny spot outside and comes back each yr.

Condo + Hibiscus tree = need help!

Hello interwebs!!! I recently bought a beautiful hibiscus tree to keep in my bright dinning room (tons of windows). So far it has been doing well, but I am a newb at hibiscus and would love to hear some pointers for successful care for the indoors. Any info, from what may seem like common sense to overkill greenhouse/technical information would be greatly appreciated.

Hibiscus Cultivars at the San Diego Zoo ID?

Our family was down at the San Diego Zoo this week, and I was able to snap a few photos of some really beautiful hibiscus. I'd like to add these 3 cultivars to my yard. Hoping someone on this forum can ID the cultivars. The bottom one I believe is 'Rainbow Christy', a foundation hibiscus from Charle Black of Hidden Valley Hibiscus, which I did have in my yard, but I fear it has gotten crowded out, as I haven't seen it bloom in quite a while (and, it is impossible to find, now): Patty S. Marion they are just beautiful wish I could grow them, never mind we all have diferent things we can grow, thats the beauty of the garden web as we can share & see what others can only admire

Yes Jan, I would just love to be able to grow things like Lilac and all the other beauties I see from the southern forumites.

I got my hibiscus from the guy over the back. It was poking thru my fence so I pulled it thru a bit more, snipped it off and shoved it into a pot and, voila! one double red hibiscus.
