Beautiful, I always enjoy opening up your postings, because I know there is going to be a wonderful bird picture in there as well as the flowers. Thank you . Marion
Great photos, that cactus is awesome, oops more of the childrens lingo creeping in, and you have captured the serene elegance of the Brolgas. Thankyou for sharing.
Me too Barbara its a great place so clean and tidy. I love all the flowers and plants you post, and I enjoy the Surprise of those beautiful Birds you always put on. A beautiful flower on your Cactus worth waiting for, I wonder why a lot of Cacti open then. We went to Australia Zoo twice last year as much as I love birds its the snakes I enjoy most. Do you have any pics of that HUGE PYTHON or any snakes for that matter I ruined my folder of Pics. I am sure our members would like to see them..Thanks for shareing....Cheers..MM.
I so agree with you MM. I was only saying to my husband a couple of nights ago, I don't think I've ever seen a fly there, which just goes to show how clean it is kept. They have over 400 staff plus volunteers and they do a wonderful job, such a happy helpful bunch they are too. I just love the place, I have an annual pass I go there every opportunity I get. The wetlands and the walk through rainforest aviary are my favourite places, though I love watching the Tasmanian Devils too. I have some more snake photos, but they're on CDs so I will have to have a look for them. I will post them when I find them (and time permits), if it's ok with everyone as they are a little off topic.
I'm not sure if I have one of that large python, every time I go there, there are people standing in front of it and it's hard to get a photo of the snake. Below is one of me and a Burmese Python.

I took these ones last week, it's a pair of Fierce Snakes (the most venomous snakes in the world) mating.
Thanks Barbara they are FANTASTIC PICS I did have a few of those inland taipans pics myself. Great Pic of you with the Burmese Python around your neck dont you find they are very heavy. I have had few Olive and other Pythons around my neck also. But not as thick as that one it would certainly weight you down. Please dont take this piccie off, like you did with the eagle that time, you look great. Thanks so much......Cheers...MM.
Hi Barbara, Isn't it nice to have a face to put to your wonderful posts. Excellent photos as usual. (I hate snakes though! How could you put that around your neck, brave lady!)
I just had to come back for another look. Mating you say Barbara hummmmm I assume that the male is the pretty one. Seeing it is the most dominant of the two thats absolutely fasinating. Best I leave it at that. Now ladies it is quite easy to put a python around your neck. And they dont hurt at all. GOOD ON YOU BARBARA WELL DONE.....Cheers..MM.
Yes I agree MM, it's easy to handle the Pythons. I envy you being able to see the Olive Pythons close up, aren't they just so pretty? I used to have a severe phobia re snakes, I've now managed to totally over come it.
