Congrats on saving your roses, they sure look wonderful! That vine is, I think, the wild variety of morning glory - I have them ALL over the place and I notice that almost everyone in town has them too. They wrap themselves around the stems of other plants and do take over, and the tiny white flowers are not even attractive - I just keep pulling them out one by one as I find them.

We saw "The Bank Job".. slow start, but it was a really good movie. True story too so now I've got to look it up on line to find out more. Outback was delicious. DD will want to eat there on her birthday most likely so we'll be going back next week. Oh, the torture! haha....

What a simple, sensible, cost effective DIY project with such great results! I'm especially loving how you rejuvenated your open cabs and backsplash area by fearlessly working in more color. Thanks for all the nice comments! I will be eager to see what the family thinks on Christmas day - tomorrow. Even my husband likes it...funny, when we went to the paint store, before I posted here...he went straight to the greens and I was like NO WAY! But he was right...every so often that does happen :)
