Why don't you just plant some native grasses on the outskirts of your property, so they don't feel the need to come and eat your European/Asian/American plants? That's a dreadful way to garden!!

Pos02 - you clearly have never had your garden marauded by a large gang of 1 wallaby! We lived on a hectare of land, in the bush on the outskirts of a country town. The vast majority of our land was light bush with large stands of native kangaroo grasses. That wallaby still urgently felt the need to eat and destroy our single plum tree.
The kangaroos were far more polite, and happily coexisted with our cats, dogs and garden.
Clearly we should be growing far more European/Asian/American plants to keep the Wallabies happy. Or do you think they should be deprived of such pleasures? How mean is that?

I'm gonna have to concur with that sparaxis dude. There's about 243 billion hectares of native grasses and all sorts of plants around my property that have sustained wallabies for countless eons. But no. This particular glorified rodent has to spitefully ignore all that just to chew up my Gazanias. First Yowees - now this. What is it with native animals ? Uncle Remiggio has just recovered from a recent pumelling at the hands of some yowees, only to see his Gazania patch reduced to pitiful stumps. The poor moron. I last saw him sharpening an old pick handle.. and I reckon its got wallby stew written all over it !

Yeah,I'm with Alison....Uncle Remiggio will come to the rescue...and you'll both be able to enjoy wallaby stew(I've heard its good with rice!) for weeks to come while watching the gazanias flower their bloomin heads off!!
