Ha ha, Thanks Chas. The puppy, Trixie, is supposed to eat only her special puppy food but prefers what we have on our plate, and anything else in the garden. I looked for this post this morning and it wasn't there, now I have just posted the clematis again and the original post is back! What's going on?

Thanks Maryann, I particularly like the pink Josephine. I am surprised at how long they last in a vase though, thought they would only last one day but they have been in the vase for over a week. Thanks for the comment on the other post I made by accident, will let that one go down.

Yes that's why I answered the other one too otherwise it would sit on top.

We had a labrador named Sam and when he was young he was a villain. he used to pull all the clothes off the line and dig holes everywhere.His main trick was to stalk bees and eat them.He would hear them buzzing and as soon they crawled into the flower he would grab them! He was quite a big dog and how he caught them in his big teeth always fascinated us. He kept it up even as an old dog-he couldnt hear them as well, but still had good eyesight . he passed on about 7 years ago.

Isn't he a lovely old fella. How come he didn't get stung, I am always frightened that Trixe will eat one and get stung. Last night she ate the rubber heels from both my slippers!! I really do feed her!
