Even without the bird and lovely dish, I wouild find this an interesting foto, as I recognise the Staghorn firn, but find the green bough against the bark very interesting.
Is that a cactus, as it looks thick, like a succulent?

Misty, that is a lovely shot. We have Grey butcherbirds around
but this is the first time I've seen a juvenile.Their lovely
carolling is about the best bird sound-for me.When they caroll
the other birds are very quiet,they're not the nicest of neighbours.

Hi Inga Thank You.. I was so busy in the garden all day yesterday moving all the Iris into the garden beds as I need the large pots for the Dahlia and Marigolds I am growing from seeds so I never got on here yesterday, also planted veggie seedlings and I even planted a large cutting of Seduction the rose that died recently I knew there was something wrong with it way back in February so potted up a piece and it has grown really well with lots of roots..

Yes that other one is a cactus of sorts Selenicereus anthonyanus: common name zig zag cactus its one I bought from one of the Sunday Markets here a few years ago and has never flowered it has a burgundy/pink flower.

I will try and put one pic on every day don't know about tomorrow though as its hubby Tony's Birthday and I will be busy.

Hi Chas so glad you like it, they are so cute and fluffy when young and we are hoping this little one will kind of replace the little one we named Barney a few years ago who with some of his family was poisoned by the neighbour across the road who left Ratsak out to kill the mice which it did and then the birds got into the carcase it broke our hearts it was so friendly and used to fly to Tony and take the the grubs out of his fingers gobble it down then come back for more when I was gardening it used to sit on the handles of the wheelbarrow as it knew I would find a grub for it I miss it so much. That little one seems to be the tamest out of the three.. And yes they sing the most beautiful songs.

I took this a few hours ago from up on the back decking its not the best photo as that bird bath is under a very tall gum tree so the bird was in shadow so I lightened it a lot.

Thanks Mary Ann, now that I see the whole Elkhorn, I stand to be corrected. It has a much slimmer apperance than Staghorn fern. The names are so similar too.
I just love the pic of the Lorikeet. It is so brilliant in colour. What a lovely shot.

Yes it is slimmer than the Staghorn Ferns, those Lorikeets are so comical.
I spend a lot of time watching them and Dusty the Bearded Dragon I have just come in from chatting to it.
I have no idea if Dusty is a Male or Female but its not scared of me and will let me take pics of it even using the flash.
I seen it jump off its favourite log before and catch some insects in flight I hope I managed to get a pic in focus.
