Carla, I ordered Papi from Roses Unlimited this year, they always send really healthy plants. It is potted up now, very healthy. I have seen a couple of blooms and they are lovely. I cant attest to its health/hardiness but I got a good plant, the blooms are pretty and I like it. I, too, want an Alchymist, but it only blooms once and I lean more towards remotant bloomers. Mine is in its 3rd year and I estimate it about 10' max 12'. Since I train it on a Monet umbrella trellis, it is not easy to give a more accurate estimate. I have (a grafted) Celine Forestier on another similar structure of the same size and though Celine is bushier it took her more time to reach the top of the trellis and cascade down.

oooops! well, I know that I don't have much of a sense of smell but I didn't think it was that bad. They are just about dead now but I asked my son to tell me what he thought and he said too, that there wasn't much perfume. Now, I'll have to wait til the next batch and make a point of smelling it when it's fresh. It's really supposed to be strong, eh?
