What a strange looking orchid, I like it. The Tillandsias look healthy, mine are tiny still. The Amorphophallus is an unusual looking thing isn't it, both the name and flower are rather suggestive though :)

Yes, if you know your Latin from school the name is obvious isn't it /
It has a bad perfume too,it is of the family of the giant one in the gardens in England that is very difficult to breath in near.
The person who's garden these plants are in has a great collection of unusual and wonderful plants and ferns.

They are great Amorphallus Marion,I must get some more such a remarkable cycle plant,super looking orchid saw one like that somewhere before,nice pics,greencroc.

Goodness what a mouthful, why do plants have to have such long names that are hard to pronounce.
Interesting plant Marion that one....Love those Orchids they are so different.

the orchid is so unusual, I love it, and I love the tillandsias, especially that cute pink one, are they very old because they look quite big?

the tillandsias are a few years old now , they were just one or two plants tied to the wire at first and every year they seem to double up.
The pink one is usually bluish green till it is ready to flower and they it gets the lovely ping flush before putting out the flower.
