There does not seem to be much activity on the forum, but I will give it a try....

This is the first of my roses to bloom. We moved into our house a year ago, there were a number of neglected roses as well as a few dead ones. I have pruned them and loved them but don't know what any are other than the few I replaced with bare-root roses a couple of months ago.

This rose bush gets LOADS of blooms. They don't have a scent. The bush is big, the biggest of all the one's I have here, it stands over a meter tall I guess.

Any ideas?

The lighting in this photo makes the bloom look more peach than it actually is. It is really a cream colour.

Hi there sorry I have no idea as to what rose it is, though the petals look similar to a Standard I have named Edelweiss

Does it look like this.

I'm not much help, being a newbie myself, but what a lovely red climber! You might try posting this in the main 'Roses' forum, as this one has gotten very quiet since Houzz changed their system. You got a great picture of it - stems, leaves, petals, stamens! The only other thing that might help someone ID it would be scent or lack of it.

Constant, please reply and let us know that you've read the warnings and will do the responsible thing. Some gardeners, most of them, are good stewards of the land and make wonderful neighbors. Others are narrow minded, convinced that they should be able to grow whatever they want on their own property, pretending to be ignorant about the environmental damage that invasive plants can cause. I'm pretty sure that you are one of good ones!

Yes, you should remove (deadhead) all of the old blooms as soon as possible at any time during the growing season. Blooms lead to the creation (or attempt of creation) of the seed pod, commonly called "rose hip". While making hips, roses won't make as many blooms. Cut off the old blooms and any hips and that will encourage the rose to make more blooms (to make more hips). Where there are high temperatures, roses will either stop blooming or will have smaller blooms.

Thanks mistymorn, it doesn't look quite right, but it's another one I think I can cross off the list!

It does have a light 'rose' perfume. But barely there!

I didn't see how to load a photo on the regular Roses in Oz forum, will have another look.
