Raphiolepsis indica 'Pink Parfait'

While I was wandering around with the camera yesterday trying to get a good picture of a leptospermum, I spotted this Raphio.... coming into flower. It's a mound forming bush, apparently to about 80cms, and, according to the label, never needs pruning and covers itself in these semi-double pink flowers, and with a few drops of water (from the hose) on it it's looking very promising.

Nice colour blooms. Couldn't find too much info, only that it's Indian Hawthorn.

I dunno Chas. Tropi.... yeah, they do look a bit like Leptospermum. And Inga, it is referred to as Indian Hawthorn, as all the raphiolepsis varieties are or seem to be. I've a couple of other varieties here and there, the usual single white flowering bushes. They do put on quite a show and are all appealing.

To me, they are all very interesting, being on another continent with the summer and winter at oppsite 'ends'.
