If there are any seeds, you should see them when you open the pods. They are brown/black and are smaller that a grain of rice. If they are as small as a dot, then the seeds did not develop. Hope this helps. T

I prune mine all the time and haven't seemed to loose the blooms. But mine is a 15ft tree. Let's see what the others think. :o)

I air-layered this once. Took about 4 months and I got a scrawny little plant. Since then, I have tried air-layering several times w/o success. Someone on GW said 6" cutting in midsummer should work, but it didn't for me. I did try it in a propagation chamber in the spring and oddly enough, everything else in the propagation died but the seminole. It rooted and unfortunately, I forgot all about it and it died. I took 4" cuttings and put it in a 3 inch pot of moist soil. I put the pot in a plastic shoebox and covered it. After about a month, it rooted and like I said, I got busy with other stuff and it died. It is known to be a difficult plant to root. Probably a misting system would work best.

I guess it could be kept in a pot a few years if it's the wallachii, but that is a really big plant growing well over 10 feet. The Seminole is much smaller and would do better in a pot, so I guess it depends on which one you have.
