I have the "pro-seeder" purchased from Thompson and Morgan. It has a bulbous rubber air portion and a long nose--you use various-sized nozzles to pick up different-sized small seeds. I haven't used it that much yet, but it's far less exhausting to use the needle-like nozzle to pick up a tiny seed than trying to get a single seed to stick to end of your finger. The device allows you to pick up the tiny seeds singly, and by letting air in a little at a time hold on to the seed until you deliver it to the desired location. I don't know if it will work for the dust-like seeds (it might suck them inside), but anything large enough to discretely see is definately game!

I had sprinkles in NW OKC as I came home to meet ONG for our broken gas pipe. :( It didn't reach my house, though, I seemed to bring clear weather the closer to home I got. We found out last Friday our yard's gas line connecting our house to the meter had broken. ONG came out and shut 'er down, so we've been taking the polar plunge each morning when we shower. They cannot tell where the line is broken, but it's under either the concrete driveway or the concrete patio around the pool - either way, there's no good way to get at it to fix. So we are going to be painfully writing a lot of checks in the near future. ONG is going to (thankfully!) send their crew to bore under the driveway to relocate the gas meter next to our house from where it currently resides at the back of the yard, and then they will connect us from the main to the meter. We are on the hook for getting a new stub out and running the gas pipe into the attic to connect to our gas lines inside. Plus we found out that the hot tub gas heater outside is illegally hooked into the gas line, so it needs to be totally rerun at our expense. Overall, we are in the $4K area to get everything up and running again, and that's with ONG footing the bill for moving the meter, which our plumber would have charged another $2000 for. I'm unsure if the drought has much to do with the line break, as the ONG emergency crew said that the people who sold us this house reported a gas leak early in 2011 (we bought end of 2011). The subtext was that perhaps the seller had not made the repairs but knew about a leak. It may have just gotten worse, enough for us to start smelling gas in the house, or an additional break occurred. I find we are on really red Oklahoma clay at this house. I cannot think of any watering I could have done to prevent this, as I don't think it would have ever occurred to me to water the driveway!

I have had some experience with T&M and have to agree with many of the comments posted. I first came across the company many years ago and observed a significant change in practice as time went by, in particular I noted the vastly increased "hype" associated with their products (does anyone remember the edible carp for sale!); this I attributed to their increased focus on the U.S.A. market  in particular the usage of what I would refer to as "Americanisms", in the catalogue descriptions. I see from comments posted here that you guys have now got your own! As a customer of their seeds I was once invited to promotional event that they had organized in conjunction with a garden centre in a neighboring county. Whilst there I saw some fantastic gerberas on display, I asked one of their reps about where I could acquire seeds of these plants, and was somewhat sheepishly told that these where vegetatively propagated clones that where not available and were only for purposes of display! Partly as a result of this experience - in which I felt that T&M had been lest than honest - I took my custom elsewhere. I have also observed that the T&M marketing drive extends to U.K. gardening magazines aimed at the amateur, there being frequent mentions of this company in various articles and presentations sometimes "ad nauseum", which implies to me that some product placement deal is in operation. I would suggest that potential customers view the claims and additional hype that T&M generate "cum grano salis", and to make full use of sites like this and also the internet in general when sourcing seeds and plant material.

I've grown several varieties of Thunbergia alata, including Salmon Shades and all looked pretty much the same except for the bloom color. The only real difference I noticed was that Raspberry Mousse, which I got as a plant, not started from seed, has never produced any seed pods. Can you post a pic of your vine?
