I see babies on the inside bottom of the pot, I think. I pulled some out to replant but they started dropping like flies, leaves were falling off and they are just droopy now in a pot.. I cant find turface where I live.. SeaChem Fluorite, is the stuff is sold at the pet store but its $40 ($18 on amazon) for a small bag but very consistent in size. I also use the Napa Oil Dry which is $10 for 30lbs but I only get 50% of the good sized stuff. The rest is tiny, I save it but I never use it. The fluorite looks way better than both of them though. So I did some research myself and I think the last two are Echeveria Black Prince, and Echeveria Lola. The black prince though seems to have a lighter color than expected, so I need to place it with lots of light. The first one I think is a sedum, but not yet figured out which species.

Hi Gina, no apologies needed:-) people her will chime in on the IDs, it's not a pain at all, and the list is a little less active because it's JUNE, yay, we are all out in the dirt:-) if you don't get a response soon, try this: repost your photos with numbers and just a short request for ID's. That makes it easier for folks to answer. usually you'll get several responses, with each person just IDing a couple plants, rather than one person doing it all. The numbers help make it easier for several folks to each focus on what they know best.

If your soil has food or nutrients already, then you don't necessarily need to add more fertilizer (eg, Miracle Grow's Cactus Soil). You will usually see on the bag something like "feeds for 3 months" or "9 months" etc. That tells you there is already fertilizer there. That also means that is a guideline as to when you'll need to change out the soil. It doesn't necessarilly mean all the food has been taken up, since the roots may not yet extend to the entire pot, but use it as a guideline. So you could leave the soil longer if you wanted to. The other guideline can be that you'll want to repot about once a year...or when the roots are getting root-bound. As you can see, there are several ways to decide when to repot, and a lot of it has to do with how fast things grow or use up nutrients, etc Now as for specific food, some plants will benefit from other nutrients, too. (eg a plant that is about to flower, could use more than just what is in the plant food of the soil). That is why, even with plant food in the soil already, you may still want to supplement for the plant. In that case, follow the guidelines mentioned on the food package. But let's say the soil mix is something you created on your own, without the commercial plant foods already mixed in. Then you'll want to add your own regimen of fertilizers at the recommended doses.
