Ricky, your palms are just beautiful. I have some of the same ones, but they're a few years behind yours. I have had a Fiji palm in the ground here in Sarasota for 2 years now, and it looks great in the summer and fall, awful after winter. I'm hoping that as my yard grows in each year, the protection will give it more and more good time. I also have a licuala spinosa, which has done well, but is still kind of small. The lack of rain this year did not afford good growth. My beccariophenix is about 6 feet at the tip and doing well, but again, just getting going this year because of dryness. I enjoy looking at your beauties thinking that someday mine will be there also. What is that smaller palm to the left of the European fan palm? A chamaedora ernesti-augusti?

Great looking palm! I had a bottle palm seedling for a while and it started to get big, but for some reason I gave up on it one year and didn't bring it inside. I regret it after seeing yours and I'm happy that I bought another one this year since they are beautiful palms (and like you said, they aren't as heavy as you'd expect). Growing palms in NY and anywhere up north is really rewarding! My trash has dead palm fronds and banana leaves while everyone else is throwing out normal NY plant debris haha. Thanks for sharing! When cagary said, "growing a Bottle palm (Hyophorbe lagenicaulis) outdoors", I said yes!. I grow everything outdoors, but I bring them inside the greenhouse in the winter. :-) Technically I grow everything outdoors, my greenhouse is outside also. :-) I do have some small Hyophorbe lagenicaulis. I cant wait until the get about 4 foot high. That will be a great day!

I do make seed available from time to time, however, unfortunately, our bottle palms are not in flower at the moment. I took the pic below 6 months ago at our local park when they were.
