After going to seed most likely not. It would be interesting to know if they still come back tho. When I gave some of my original wintersown seedlings to my neighbor hers did not come back after setting seeds. There are several biennials that can be tricked into behaving as a perennial and there are some plants which depending on the climate can be short lived perennials or biennials. For me my Sweet William came back bigger and better then the first bloom season... June 7th... Although this pic was taken on April 13th, this is exactly how it looked from fall thru winter... Vera

Hi Xuan, that's a very nice Jade indeed! Nice and healthy...you did a great job growing it from a cutting. I'm not positive...but from what I've read here and other sites I think it has mostly to do with how its grown, although I'm sure being mature has something to do with it as well. For instance if you received a cutting from a Jade that has bloomed before...I would venture a guess that little cutting given the right conditions and climate is also capable of blooming. An example was a cutting Josh received from Mike. A small cutting from a Mother Jade that bloomed. I also have what a consider a mature Jade, I've had it since January 07(almost 4 yrs) yet I've never had blooms. Another thing I read is they like some darkness at night sort of like Poinsettia along with the day shortening mixed with very dry soil and very cool temps at night...and of course somewhere in there plenty of sun during the day too. Yet, armed with all this great info...I've yet to see blooms on my Jades :o( If I'm wrong please correct me... Good luck Xuan...maybe this is our year to get lucky...or maybe not :o)

I had a couple of apple trees what looked like all the way around about 2 years back, I covered it with Dr. Farwell's heal & seal, this is a paste what keeps the moisture in, also used in Grafting, they both survived, mostly because voles have only eaten the outer layer, not all the way to the wood, the seal really helped in this case to keep the moisture in, also helped healing.
