I hate it when you no longer have the firm jawline! If there is an exercise for that I would gladly do it faithfully! I'm hoping you get some suggestions (or miracles) LOL

Our mastiff is allergic to plastic and used to get bumps that looked first like acne, then they'd open and bleed (if untreated) after he played with plastic toys. The vet's diagnosis was folliculitis -- 2 weeks of antibiotics cleared it up. We never had any luck with other remedies (sulphur soap, hydrogen peroxide, topical antibiotic creams). Sounds like your dog might have folliculitis too. If it goes long untreated secondary bacterial infections move into the skin, and the area is further aggravated by the dog's scratching. I'd suggest bringing the condition to your vet's attention promptly. Our mastiff can't play with any plastic toys. His food and water bowls are stainless steel, and we disinfect them after each use. We also clean his face twice a day to keep him more bacteria-free. Haven't had a problem since. However, even with stainless steel bowls, if we don't clean them and clean him daily, he is more prone to folliculitis, especially when the grass is growing. Good luck with your dog. The only time my dog gets these is if I try to change her dog food or I change to a new treat. I'm going to guess and say that it's food allergy related. Just as an instance of how my dog reacts, here is her latest food allergy story; I bought a bag of Chicken Soup For the Dog's Soul treats. I gave her a couple a day, they are very small little heart shaped treats that you can break in half, about as big around as a quarter. She was doing well on them so I got kind of carried away and started giving her about 6 a day and noticed that she began to scratch and gnaw and she had "pimples" on her chin. I knew right away it had to be those because there was nothing else new. I stopped giving them and immediately all her scratching and pimples went away. She is very allergic to rice, the treat did not have rice but it has barley, I'm just guessing that the barley or maybe the oatmeal is her issue in this treat.
