It could be any one of or a combination of: * Tight roots * Deficiency of one of the mobile nutrients - especially N * A drought response due to a high level of soluble salts in the soil, under-watering, over-watering * A recent decrease in the intensity or duration of light the part of the plant that is shedding is getting * Insect predation/disease Al

Looks like a pachyphytum, maybe P. Oviferum

I have a a young red mulberry here but it is raining so taking pix of the leaves won't help. I bought it from a reputable nursery so I'm pretty confident in its id. But the problem is that the crosses like "Illinois Everbearing" (which I also have here as I mature tree) are virtually impossible to tell the underside of the leaves apart from the native Morus rubra. I've tried knowing which is which. The Illinois Everbearing is a cross between M. alba and M. rubra and the birds plant young volunteers every where. The volunteers are more variable but usually equally hard to compare to M. rubra. I would guess yours to be a cross of some sort as they are far more common finds.

You're right, the leaf won't heal itself and there appears to be too little hanging on for the end of the leaf to continue. Just an observation, that doesn't look like wind damage, looks like something tore or cut it. You can cut off the old flower stems, but I just ignore and leave them.
