Thanks Everyone for participating. It's the same story for box #2, nothing made it (all the leaves turned totally brown, even a good-sized plantlet with several leaves couldn't handle the heat)! It's no one's fault, the heat is too much and baked all the leaves in the box. This has been really disappointing! Let's do this again when the weather cools off. Hugs, Deb

Xerosicyos usually has a rough and somewhat dull surface… not seen one with shiny leaves like that… nor have I seen one with the leaves so closely spaced together… I think that is a Peperomia Xerosicyos in my yard another shot with unopened flowers… great garden plant, by the way, if you have a nearly frost free climate and lots of room (grows all over that place) flowers Climbed up this wall, up the juniper on the other side, and down the fence to the street. not my plant… getting out of hand at a nursery examples of potted plants for sale slight odd leaf shape for this one (again, not mine)
