I am on the hunt for the elusive Jade vine? Any thoughts out there?

Cuttings of the plant are periodically offered for sale on ebay (current listing is in link below). Also, you could ask your local nursery to buy it for you (they can check their suppliers' lists to see if any of them offer it).

You can also post to the 'Personal exchange' forum on the Australian gardening website. As this website won't let me post the URL, I'll split it up as follows--just replace the asterisks with full stops and join the first two words:

Try www.paraplants.com or email bob@paraplants.com. they usually have it, but maybe only in the warmer months. It is a mail order plant nursery at Nambour

I think the information from Kuranda is very helpful. There is a nursery near me that takes early summer semihardwood cuttings and reports fairly good success with rooting them (better than 50%). I tried for the first time this past summer. When I made the cuttings I put the bases in water for a few days until I had time to plant them. Then I planted them in good potting soil and made sure not to let them dry out. One out of the two survived. This summer I will put more effort into making more of them. I did not try many cuttings last year because I had heard they were difficult. Between the success of my local nursery, and my getting one out of two, I am sure it can be done. Bill

When I lived in Townsville you could buy it there.. Try this link below they sell it on line and you can also email them for info .. Probably. Prune it heavily and get as much of the rootball as possible. Mine grows up 20 feet or more. Is yours that big?

I know Palms For Brisbane had them for sale a few weeks back when I was over there. They were very reasonably priced as well. They also had Flame Of The Forest.
